Dedicated to Daisy Deer

I’ve been enchanted by the story told by fellow blogger Lori about her rescue and raising of an orphaned fawn, now known as Daisy. (I encourage you to check out Lori’s blog — it’s all about her life on 10 acres in Oklahoma. I love how she describes her journey from farm to city and back to country life on her “About” page.)

But anyway, I just wanted to repost a couple cute fawn pictures from my own yard in Michigan. With many thanks to Lori for her big heart and the good work she does for the animals. (You can click the pics for larger versions.)

Hope you enjoyed those. That was really fun for me to look back at some of my deer pics. And I have so many more!  Hmmm, maybe I should have a regular wildlife photo day here each week….

Beautiful photos, Kim! And what a thoughtful dedication to Daisy Deer! I believe a wildlife photo day each week is a great idea.

Wow Kim! These are awesome photos!! Have you considered entering any of them in photo contests? Definitely, I hope you decide to do a weekly wildlife photo day!

Thank you so much for the kind exposure to my blog. I truly love what I do here, and I stick by the “simple” way of life. When I think back on being a young girl wanting far away from the “bumpkin” life, I have to laugh a little. Life was much too complicated back then. I am so thankful my farm roots were strong ones, and they brought me back “home”, where I know I belong!

You’re very welcome! Your blog deserves the exposure – it’s wonderful.

Thanks for the kind words about my photos. I’ve never entered any photo contests before, but have been looking into it.
