Photo Bonanza for the Weekend

My photography class ended this week and I’m very glad I took it.  I learned a few things and met some nice people too…can’t beat that experience. I’ve easily taken 2,000 photos over the past several weeks, experimenting with different techniques and camera settings. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites with you to kick off the weekend. Enjoy! (Don’t forget that you can click on any picture to enlarge it.)

Purple flower

Not sure what this is called, but it sure is pretty, especially enlarged.

Dragonfly, a bit out of focus

Even though it's a bit out of focus, I loved getting such a close shot of this pretty little guy.

Motion experiment

Playing with moving the camera as I take the picture. I think this looks like an impressionist painting, don't you?.

Thanks for looking! If you want to see more of my photos — maybe you can watch to see if I improve over time — the link to my Flickr photo account is in the right sidebar. Over there —–>>>>

  1. These are all gorgeous, Kim! I especially like the last one with the motion experiment. I’d hang that on my wall. Great work!

Thanks Randy, I appreciate your kind words. (Sorry for the delay in responding…your comment went to my spam folder for some reason.)

Wow, Kim, those photos are amazing. I can see why you’ve gotten really into photographing these natural photos – just breathtaking. You really are talented.

Oh you’re too kind, sweetie! I really love sharing my pictures with people. It’s sort of like saying, “Do you see what I see?”
